Birchwood is a restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and monthly supper clubs. Focusing on sustainability, the food and drink champions local producers across Kent and Sussex.
Guided by the landscape and self-sufficiency, Birchwood is focused on flavour found in the natural world. Vegetables, grown by regenerative principles, are pulled before service or are preserved, cured and bottled at to extend the season and create a new larder to cook from. Our menus host local cheeses, dairy, wines, spirits, and beer, while many ingredients, such as mushrooms, brambles, elderberries, wood sorrel and birch sap come from our local woodland.
Our Ethos
Birchwood is rooted in a farm-to-table ethos, celebrating sustainability, seasonality, and local craftsmanship. We draw inspiration from the surrounding countryside, with ingredients sourced directly from our own farm at The Small Holding and from local producers.
Our focus is on honouring nature’s bounty while fostering a deeper appreciation for sustainable living.
